本杰明·卢因
本杰明·卢因（Benjamin Lewin）是分子生物学家，创办了《细胞》期刊并撰写了《基因》教材。他在1974年创立了《细胞》期刊，并在1986年建立了自己的出版公司Cell Press。卢因还是分子生物学教材《基因》的作者。此外，卢因也是一位葡萄酒专家，为多个杂志撰稿，同时还撰写了多本葡萄酒专业书籍，他定期给《TheWorld of Fine Wine》杂志投稿。
人生经历
卢因在剑桥大学获得了文科硕士(MA)和博士(PhD)学位,又在伦敦大学获得了理学硕士(MSc)学位。在萨塞克斯大学担任了一段时间讲师后,他成为了《自然》杂志的编辑。他随后又到美国国立卫生研究院工作。在那里工作的同时,他开始萌生创立一个缘综合性的细胞生物学期刊的想法。他创立的《细胞》杂志由麻省理工学院出版社出版发行。
1986年,他完全照搬杂志的标题(bought the title outright),建立了自己的出版公司,起名名为"细胞出版社"。卢因也是广为畅销的分子生物学系列教材《基因》的作者,这本书由Jones\u0026Bartlett Learning公司出版发行,已出版受第12版(2017)。在1999年的时候,他把Cell Press转手卖给了爱思唯尔出版公司。
