樊武舫
樊武舫,男,河东人。耶鲁大学虫媒病毒学硕士,耶鲁大学分子遗传学博士,加利福尼亚州圣迭戈柯尔曼大学分子生物学与生物信息学教授,哈佛大学博士后,现任河北大学生命科学学院教授。
人物生平
樊武舫博士上世纪70年代参军;1982年2月毕业于中国人民解放军第三军医大学基础医学部并获微生物学与免疫学硕士学位。留校后任微生物学讲师,后任教研室党支部书记(正团职单位)。1985年被学员以最高票数评为全校模范教师,荣获全军优秀教师称号,立军队三等功一次。同年考取世界卫生组织分子病毒学奖学金,于1986年12月份进入美国哈佛大学医学院微生物学及分子遗传学系,历任该系访问学者和讲师;在诺贝尔奖得主John F. Enders(1954年诺贝尔奖得主,脊髓灰质炎疫苗的奠基人)病毒实验室从事核糖核酸病毒及缺损病毒的研究,并从此开始在国际著名学术杂志发表研究论文。1988年接受世界著名虫媒病毒学家Robert Shope教授的邀请,就读于《耶鲁大学文理科学研究生院》,从事刚果出血热病毒和乙脑病毒糖蛋白基因的研究,于1990年获病毒学硕士学位。同年转入耶鲁大学遗传系成为人类分子遗传学博士研究生,师从于著名分子遗传学家Sherman M. Weissman教授(美国科学院资深院士,美国国立卫生研究院NIH遴选的20位研究基金终身获得者之一),同时受教于细胞生物学教授George E. Palade博士(1974年生理学和医学诺贝尔奖获得者)。1993年底完成博士研究论文,被授予PhD博士学位。博士论文题目为《在人类主要组织相容性抗原位点(MHC)第一区段发现,定位和鉴定39个非免疫相关的新基因》。樊武舫博士在MHC第一区段首次发现的嗅觉受体基因,FAT10基因(一种泛素蛋白修饰基因),和具有锌带蛋白质结构的转录因子NZRD1基因,在人类生殖行为,神经科学,MHC功能学及肿瘤学研究方面,引起很大反响。世界多家著名实验室对其所发现的新基因进行积极深入的研究。仅在国内,科学院上海某研究所和第三,空军军医大学已将上述后两个基因列为肿瘤研究的重点课题。
樊武舫博士于1994年受聘于美国劳伦斯国家实验室人类基因组国家研究中心,任资深研究员并参与指导加利福尼亚大学学生(和诺贝尔奖化学奖得主Glenn T Seaborg共同指导在美国劳伦斯国家实验室的实习生)。1997年受聘于美国Gene Logic公司任高级研究员及疾病基因研究部主任,取得一系列成果并开始在美国专利局申请肿瘤和疾病相关基因的技术专利。2001年受聘于美国OriGene公司任基因分析部主任。由于其在人类基因组研究方面的精湛造诣,他在一年多的时间里就获得二十多项基因专利。从2002年7月开始,受聘于加州Immusol药物研发公司,出任生物信息学部主任,其研究成果亦获得数个技术专利。从2006年下半年起,任圣地亚哥柯尔曼大学分子生物学及生物信息学教授。

1.肿瘤基因的发现分离与鉴定。靶肿瘤为国内和省内高发肿瘤如肺癌,肝癌,胃癌,食管癌等。方法采用DNA芯片筛选法等。
2.肿瘤的特异标记蛋白(biomarker)及其在临床的诊断应用。
3.肿瘤的免疫研究。主要研究特异的DCs(树突状细胞)及相关的抗原提呈细胞(APC),NK细胞,单核细胞和粒性白细胞及其分泌的细胞因子在肿瘤免疫和致病机理中的作用。
4.肿瘤的治疗,探讨使用溶瘤病毒和慢病毒属携带的si核糖核酸s对肿瘤进行治疗的可能性并评价其疗效。
5.分离与动植物特殊性状相关的基因及其在生产实践中的应用。

Abstract: The present invention relates to all facets of novel polynucleotides, the polypeptides they encode, antibodies and specific binding partners thereto, and their applications to research, diagnosis, drug discovery, therapy, clinical medicine, forensic science and medicine, etc. The polynucleotides are differentially expressed in prostate and breast cancers and are therefore useful in variety of ways, including, but not limited to, as molecular markers, as drug targets, and for detecting, diagnosing, staging, monitoring, prognosticating, preventing or treating, determining predisposition to, etc., cancers. 先后发表三十余篇原始科学发现论文,总影响因子达1167,平均每篇文章的影响因子接近四十。独立或与他人合作共申请了30多项基因和生物药靶专利,主编或与他人合编在美国和中国出版集团有限公司论著四部。其论文之一曾作为世界著名基因组学杂志《Genomics》的封面刊出(2000年第一期),以此纪念该杂志进入21世纪。
业余爱好
本人业余爱好为中国古典文学,中国古文字学和中国上古历史。对山西省西南部河东地区上古历史及其演变具有强烈的兴趣。其中包括:女娲,燧人氏和黄帝的关系;河汾交汇处黄帝部落及其祖先的起源与存在;(黄)河汾(河)交汇处与中国上古文化与社稷祭祀的关系;汾河盆地的古生态与尧舜禹兴起;河东地区尧舜禹的历史遗迹及口头传说。河东方言中的文言文及上古语言的遗存;渭河平原文化与河东文化的关系及归属。河东望族薛姓在汉晋隋唐宋各个历史时期的政治作用和文学地位;唐代著名书画家薛稷对现代中文书写方式的确立以及在仿宋体创立中的作用;明清以来黄河小北干流河道的演变及其对山西省地区人文历史/政治经济学/人口迁徙的影响;全新世中期气候变化与河东人文历史演变的关系等。
学者荣誉
2000年被世界著名人物杂志《Who is Who》评选收录为引导美国生物学进入21世纪的500名生物科学家之一。由于他在生物学领域的杰出贡献,于2005年6月14日被美国总统布什邀请到白宫参加总统晚餐。
